As part of our design update, the screenshots are currently being revised.

Room Type represents the accommodation type available to your guests. Room Type in Property Connector Multi-Property mode allows user to standardize room type ID, Room Class and Room Type Name and assign to applicable properties.


1. Add Group Room Type - Create New

1.1  Add room type


Go to Home Page > Rooms > Room Type > Click Add Room Type > Add Room Type



1.2 Data Input


Fill in the room type information and click Save


1.21 Basic and Occupancy


  • Room Type ID: Room type ID must be consistent with your PMS room type ID, otherwise it fails during the interface process. 
  • Room Class ID: Select the respective room class you have built in the Room Class set up. You may skip room class set up if your PMS does not support it. 
  • Room Type Name: The name of the room type.
  • Occupancy: The maximum occupancy of this room type, the maximum number of adults, and the maximum number of children. This should be consistent with your channel set up. (This is a mandatory requirement when creating new room type)


1.22 Assignment



Select the applicable property and save.


1.3 Status

1.31 Assigned Property to continue setup (Room Type status is Creating) and save



2. Modify Group Room Type

2.1 Room Type Control - Select the room type that you wish to synchronize the update (e.g. room type name) to assigned property



2.2 Edit  Room Type



  • Room Type ID: Non editable
  • Room Class ID: Optional field
  • Room Type Name: Edit new Room Type Name
  • Occupancy: You can leave it blank if you do not want to override individual property’s existing setup


2.3 Assigned Property to validate the update (Room Type name has updated without updating their existing Max Occupancy / Adult / Child count.



3. Property user view

Room types created at the Group level will display a "Group" tag.
