Overview
Auto Closure automatically adjusts promotional rates on specific channels to ensure availability aligns with your desired levels. It automatically sets a "stop sell" to a selected room type or rate plan when the room availability reaches a certain value.
The Auto Closure threshold feature can be conveniently configured and Managers can modify it through the calendar interface in the Property Connector. Managers can set unique auto-closure thresholds for various rate plans, ensuring that the most profitable bookings are accepted when rooms are in short supply, thereby optimizing the revenue generated from each available room.
What is the benefit of Auto Closure threshold?
- Revenue Management Control: Auto Closure threshold allows hotels to maintain strict control over revenue management by automatically ceasing the sale of rooms at lower rates once availability falls below a specified level. This ensures that rooms are sold at the most profitable rates possible.
- Operational Simplicity: By automating the process of closing out room rates, Auto Closure threshold simplifies the task of managing room availability and reduces the risk of overbooking. This frees up staff to focus on enhancing guest services and other value-added activities.

Enable/Remove Auto Closure
Quick Update
- Go to Main Calendar
- Choose Main Calendar Tab
- Filter by Open/Close
- Expand the channel icon to locate Auto Closure threshold
- Select the desired date or drag to select multiple days you wish to apply for a quick update.
- Quick Update pop-up window comes out.
- Enter an Auto Closure threshold number. When the availability reaches or below this value, the automatic closure will be applied to the selected rate plan. Please notice only value greater than 0 is accepted.
- Click apply to set the rule. You can remove your Auto Closure threshold using the same path.
Bulk Update
On the Main Calendar, select Bulk Update and click on Auto Closure
Select a rate plan (with all room types) or a specific room type of a rate plan, click [NEXT]
Select your desired channel, click [NEXT]
Next, you can select date range by Today, Next 7/14/30 Days or a Custom date range
Once you select the date range, continue with the option of Everyday or Weekday/Weekend/Day of Week, then click [NEXT]
Once done, you can update your desired Auto Closure level before clicking [Update]. In this example, we set a value of 20, it means when rate availability meets or below this value rate plan will be automatically closed.
Only value greater than 0 is accepted
You can confirm your Auto Closure value by going back to Calendar > Open/Close
