What is a Day Use Room

A Day-Use room refers to hotel rooms that are rented out on a short-term basis during the daytime, typically between the morning check-in time and the evening check-out time. This option allows guests to use the room and its facilities for several hours without requiring an overnight stay. Day-use rooms are highly convenient for travelers who need temporary space for grooming, resting, working, or relaxing during the day without staying overnight. The prices for day-use rooms are usually lower than those for overnight stays, making them a cost-effective choice for short-term accommodations.


Day Use Rate Plan Setup

A new switch is added in the Rate Plan Basic tab, please note that currently only the following Property Management System

support this new feature:

  1. Opera OXI
  2. OHIP (Opera Cloud) 
  3. Infor
  4. Apaleo
  5. Green Cloud
  6. MEWS
  7. Non PMS integrated properties


If your property does not fall under the above category, please do not use this feature.

Please make sure you have activated the "Day Use" attribute in Opera Rate Code Rate 


OHIP (Opera Cloud)

Please make sure you have activated the "Day Use" attribute in OHIP Rate Code Financial Details

Day Use Room Reservation view

The check in date is the same as the check out date for Day Use room reservation.
