In order to prevent the duplication of profile creation when a profile is sent to OPERA through OXI  (matching first/last name, email address, postal code, phone number, etc), OPERA-OXI allows user to define the internal entry match criteria to match to the existing profile or create a new one.

Please follow below steps to setup the Merge Rules:
➔ Login to your OPERA PMS
➔ Go to OXI
➔ Go to Interface Configuration
➔ Click on Profile Matching 

 

User will define the Merge Rule (e.g. First name, Last name, address, phone, email, etc) and the relative weighting points. For the profile matching to work, user has to configure a single threshold. If a profile does not reach the threshold and a match cannot be made, a new profile will be created 

For this following example, the threshold is set as 1000 points. If the sum of the Merge Rule weighting points is greater than 1000, Opera will merge with an existing profile for you.

You could also update the Merge Rule to disable such mergers.
