1) Discovery Stage: Preliminary Check before Connection

While you are coordinating with your GDS Marketing Manager your intention to connect to GDS via Derbysoft Property Connector, and schedule a kickoff call with us; we require your channel activation request at Property Connector as per the following guideline.

2) Channel Activation Request

Hotel Group need to confirm with Sabre / GDS they have signed the business contract  

Go to Channel and click on [Available Channel]. Search for GDS and click [Connect]


Activate Channel 

Hotel Type Please select GDS Hotel Type from the drop down list: Independent or Group, then click [Activate]


Please wait for activation approval


We will kick off our process upon receipt and perform the preliminary checks:

  1. All necessary contracts(Contract with GDS and DerbySoft) are in place.

  2. It is essential for us to know sooner if your hotel is already connected via another provider to the GDS. 

  3. If this is the case, please prepare the GDS Switch letter based on your scenario ASAP, you may reach out to pc.gds@derbysoft.net for assistance.

3) Welcome Call and Hotel Information Collection

In order for us to get your account in the GDS Connector, please complete the GDS Initialization Questionnaire and return to pc.gds@derbysoft.net

For Hotel Images, it is recommended to get professional and quality pictures of Exterior, Lobby, Room 1, 2, Restaurant, Facilities, etc, Dimensions requirements as follows:

  • At least 1400 pixel wide
  • Orientation: Landscape
  • File types supported: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif or .png
  • File name: Use letters, numbers and underscores only. Do not use special characters. All spaces will be converted to underscores

Upon receipt we will review your submitted form and send a request to Sabre to create a hotel ‘shell’. You will also expect an Addendum from Sabre to sign off.

Once done, Sabres creates the hotel ‘shell’ and provides extranet login credentials. Hotel content (the information you have provided in the above forms) will be entered into GDS by the Derbysoft team.

4) Property Connector Channel Setting

4.1) Basic

Currency - Select the currency used for selling under the drop down list

GDS Hotel Code, GDS UserName, GDS Password - please contact pc.gds@derbysoft.net for assistance (Interface username and password)


4.2) Rate Rules

Set up the channel request Rate Rule and Commission accordingly. 


Click [Next] to continue


5) Channel Room Rates (Channel Mapping)

Please make sure you have already created GDS rate plan (Rates > Rate Plan > Add Rate Plan). Search for the rate plan under the drop down list, then mark the room types applicable to this rate plan. 


Click [Go Live] to complete the setup

You will see a pop up window of [Room Rate Setting]. Continue to fill in the respective [GDS Rate Plan Code], [GDS Category], and [GDS Room Type Code], then click [Go Live] one more time  

Go Live does not mean your property is immediately available for sale. Continue to fill in the respective [GDS Rate Plan Code], [GDS Category], and [GDS Room Type Code], then click [Go Live] one more time.



6) Actual Go Live Process 

  • Now you have completed all required tasks in the Property Connector. DerbySoft Operation team will check your submitted information is correct and finish some internal set up. Once ready we will inform Sabre / GDS to start pushing data to them.  
  • You can validate your inventory, rates and restrictions in the Property Connector > Calendar
  • We will work with you on performing ARI (Availability, Rates and Inventory) and reservation testing
  • Once your hotel is unlocked and activated in Sabre SynXis CR, your hotel goes live in GDS
