1. Channel side preparation work
Please confirm whether your property has cooperated and completed the establishment of property information at the channel end. Information required in the Property Connector varies with the channel hotel type.
Please also contact your Agoda Market Manager that your intention to switch the connection to to DerbySoft using the connectivity account 'DerbysoftDirect', prepare and send to pc.service@derbysoft.net with the following:
Q1 - What rates Agoda would like to receive from DerbySoft? Net or Sell? Tax inclusive or exclusive?
Q2 - What rates would you like to receive from Agoda reservations? Net or Sell? Tax inclusive or exclusive?
Q3 - What is the expected date and time of the switchover?
1.1 No account with Agoda
Sign up to the Agoda website at Agoda YCS Partner Hub. Select 'DerbySoftDirect' as your channel management name during registration.
1.2 With an Agoda account
Sign in to the Agoda website at Agoda YCS Partner Hub.
- Go to YCS > Settings > Property Settings >
- Go to Optional Setting
- Mark the "Enable channel manager mode" checkbox
- On the dropdown list, select "DerbySoftDirect"
- Save
1.3 With an Agoda account using a third party channel manager
For hotel that needs to switch from an existing third party channel manager to the Property Connector. Follow the same procedure as of applying to connect a a new channel manager. Sign in to the Agoda website at Agoda YCS Partner Hub.
- Go to YCS > Settings > Property Settings >
- Go to Optional Setting
- Mark the "Enable channel manager mode" checkbox
- On the dropdown list, select "DerbySoftDirect"
- Save
Please Note: 1. If you need assistance during the switch, please reach out to your Agoda contact. 2. You need to inform Agoda's Market Manager your intention to switch the connection to DerbySoft using the connectivity account "DerbySoftDirect"
2. Channel Activation
a) Go to Channel and click on Available Channel. Search for Agoda and click Connect
Important: 1. Please make sure the commercial agreement has been signed. If your hotel has a group contract select "Group" in Hotel Type and complete Agoda Group Name field; otherwise select "Independent". 2. Please wait for DerbySoft Customer Success Team to activate the connection. Once this is activated, an email notification will be sent out to you to complete the rest of the setup.
b) Input Agoda Property ID and Agoda Hotel Type. Select Group if the partnership is signed up with Hotel Group Agreement, or you can select Independent. Click Activate
3. Channel Setting
a) You can continue your Channel Setting. The channel is listed under [Available Channel] with Connecting status. You can continue set up
b) Set up the Basic - Currency, Agoda Payment Type and Pricing Model:
Agoda Payment Type
- UPC on ePass (Allow you to batch bookings together and process one virtual credit card)
- UPC (Allow you process a virtual credit card for each booking)
- Bank Transfer (Allow you to process payments through a bank transfer)
- E-card (Use Agoda issued physical physical credit card to charge payments)
c) Choose the rate types according to what your Agoda Marketing Manager given, fill up Commission or other information based on your Property Management System (PMS), and click "Go Live".
4. Channel Mapping
On the right hand side you will find the Agoda Room Types and Room Rates last retrieved. Select the corresponding Property Connector Room Types and Rate Plans to map with the channel.
Important:
1. We highly recommend to use the same room and rate names in the channel as you have in the Property Connector in order to facilitate the mapping process. If you have rate plans that you do not want to distribute, please contact your Market Manager to have them removed. 2. Don't forget to "Go Live" your mapped product.
5. Channel is set up
Your Agoda setup is all completed. DerbySoft Customer Success Team will double check the data accuracy and start pushing the availability, rates and inventory to Agoda and notify Agoda Connectivity team. You are able to locate Agoda channel under Channel > Connected Channel.
