How to add a new Rate Plan

Overview
A rate plan allows you to sell the same room in various ways. User is able to create different price point for individual room type based on the channel, the day of week, the season, length of stay or advance booking.
A package rate plan allows you to include various meal plans for single or multiple night stay.
Note: Rate plan ID and set up in the Property Connector must be consistent with your PMS. Otherwise it fails during interface process and channel management.
Some PMS support Auto-sync rate plans from your PMS. You have an option to create a new rate plan or import from PMS based on your operational requirements.
1. Add Rate Plan - Create New
1.1 Add a Rate Plan
Click Add Rate Plan > Create New in the upper right corner on the Rate Plan navigation bar.
It involves 3 steps: Basic, Rate set up and Mapping.
1.2 Data Input
Fill in the required information
1.2.1. Basic
- Rate plan ID: Rate Plan ID should match with your PMS
- Meal Plan: Select meal plan from the drop-down list, and click Learn More for detailed explanation of each option
- Rate Plan Name: The name of the rate plan.
- Currency: When the PMS is connected, the Currency based on your PMS set up
- Rate Type: Tax Inclusive, Exclusive or Both.
- Payment method: Select a payment method from the drop-down list (Prepay, POA or Others).
- Price Type: Select a price type from the drop-down list (Net or Sell).
- Rate Category: For GDS use. Select from Negotiate, Promotion or Others.
- Market Code: Optional field.
- Source Code: Optional field.
- Day Use: Activate this field when this rate plan is used for Day Use Room
- Cancellation and No-show Policy: Consists of Default or Specific Cancellation Policy
- Default Cancellation: The default cancellation rules of the room rate plan, select the following 4 rules:
- Non Refundable
- Free Cancel
- Customize - you can set up your customized policy code. Click Learn More for detailed explanation
- Specific Date Policy: You can add up to 15 date range or Days of Week based on your default rules
1.2.3 Extended Info
For GDS use, allow users to input rate plan description. Optional field
1.3 Rate Setup
1.3.1 Rate - if you are connected to a Property Management System (PMS)
Default Rate Model is "Update via PMS Integration", you rate and restriction is interfaced with your PMS. You are not able to make adjustments in the Property Connector.
Alternatively, if you would like to manage your rate values and restriction manually in the Property Connector, you can select "Manage Manually" option, and indicate the PMS Rate Plan ID you will map to.

Manually Input Daily Rates - you will manage your Daily Rates in the Main Calendar. Refer to Bulk Update - Rates for details.
Derived Daily Rates - this option allows you to offer different pricing options based on your selected Base Rate Plan price point. Please refer to Derived Daily Rates for set up details. Default derived rate level is 3 including the Base Rate Level, if you need to expand to allow up to 5 level, you can activate the Derive Rate Rule Level setting in the Property > General set up.
1.3.2 Rate (if you are not connected to a Property Management System (PMS)

Manually Input Daily Rates - you will manage your Daily Rates in the Main Calendar. Refer to Bulk Update - Rates for details.
Derived Daily Rates - this option allows you to offer different pricing options based on your selected Base Rate Plan price point. Please refer to Derived Daily Rates for set up details. Default derived rate level is 3 including the Base Rate Level, if you need to expand to allow up to 5 level, you can activate the Derive Rate Rule Level setting in the Property > General set up.
1.3.3 Tax and Fee
If you have tax and fee set up on rate plan level you are able to select the option. Otherwise it is based on tax and fee set up on Property Level. Refer to How to manage Tax and Fee for details.
1.3.4 Offset
To manage offset rule on rate plan level. Refer to Offset Overview for more details.
1.3.5 Minimum/Maximum Rate
If you have set up Minimum/Maximum Rate on Property level, this field will be populated, also allow user to update if needed. Refer to How to set the Minimum/Maximum rate protection for more details.
If you have also set the Minimum/Maximum Rate in the Property > General > Advanced, the system will always take the most restrictive value.
1.4 Mapping
Room Type: Mark the room type checkbox for eligible room types assigned to this rate plan
If you want to edit a rate plan, click the Edit button on the right on the list of rate plans. You can make changes except for the Rate plan ID.
2. Sync Rate Plan
If you are using the following Property Management System (PMS), you are able to use the Sync Rate Plan option from your PMS to the Property Connector. Refer to OXI Auto-Sync Room Type and Rate Plan set up and PC Auto-Sync Room Type and Rate Plan set up for more details.
